When you begin constitutional treatment, the first visit is a lengthy one. Oftentimes I will begin the consultation with, “Tell me how I can help you today”, after which we have plenty of time, 2+ hours, to discuss and explore your physical and emotional state and concerns.
As our conversation progresses, I will ask for details about your complaints, such as “What makes your hip pain better? What makes your hip feel worse? Has the pain always been at the left hip or did it, perhaps, start on the right and move to the left?” Many of my questions may seem completely unrelated, such as “Is there a particular sleep position that works best for you?” Please know that all of the information sharing and gathering taking place will add up to a complete sum of the parts and thereby enable me to make the best remedy recommendation for you.

It is, however, my job as a professional homeopath to offer non-judgmental listening and observing, as well as to offer advice and counsel within the homeopathic realm.
